Survey to gauge operating budget priorities

By Jensen, Randy on August 27, 2020.

LETHBRIDGE HERALD

IPSOS will be conducting a phone survey on behalf of the City of Lethbridge until Sept. 6 to gather information and feedback from residents and to identify areas of improvement in advance of an operating budget review in November.

In May, city council approved an operating budget review in order to discuss COVID-19-related changes, the KPMG operational review and the possible amendments to the Alberta provincial budget.

As the City looks to build more financial flexibility, there may be a shift in priorities, the City noted in a news release. Feedback from residents about programs and services they value and the issues they want prioritized will be critical in informing city council’s upcoming decisions.

For residents who get a call over the next two weeks, please consider participating so your views can be heard. The survey is confidential and will take about 15 to 20 minutes to complete.
