CRABB
MR. KENNETH BURTON CRABB, beloved husband of Mrs. Clara Crabb, passed away at the St. Michael’s Palliative Care Centre on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the age of 76 years.
He is survived by three children, son Richard (Cynthia) Crabb and their children Jeannette & Maxwell, son Robert Crabb, daughter Cheryl Aske (John) and their children Brandon & Christopher, all of Edmonton, as well as many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Jeannette & Burton Crabb, one sister, Frances Gullekson and by his daughter, Catherine Louise.
Ken was born in Lethbridge on December 6, 1936. Where he attended school and married Clara for 52 years. Then the family moved to Edmonton where he continued to work for AGT until his retirement in 1991 when they moved back to Lethbridge.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 – Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 11:00 A.M., with Deacon Frank Peta officiating.

Elide “Peef” Allison (nee Pavan), beloved wife of the late Bob Allison and daughter of Joe and Maria Pavan, passed away at Legacy Lodge on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the age of 95 years.
Born in Lethbridge, Peef was raised on the Pavan Dairy farm just north of Lethbridge and continued to work at the farm with her 6 siblings upon the completion of her schooling. Bob went to work at the farm, met Peef and they were married in 1939. They moved into Lethbridge and eventually settled into their home on 12th St. B. Peef was employed in the home goods department of Eatons for 30 years. She enjoyed outings with their dance group as well as travelling, baking, sewing in addition to her extensive involvement with various activities at Southminster United Church for many years.
Peef’s family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed large family gatherings. She is survived by her daughter Bev (the late Gordon) Paterson of Lethbridge and son Bob (Marilyn) Allison of Kamloops as well as 5 grandchildren Jan (Andrew) Paterson of Bath, England, Eryn (Bill) Paterson of Calgary, Bruce (Stacey) Paterson of Meridian, Idaho, Blair (Stacey) Allison of Meridian, Idaho and Christa (Clint) Haywood Farmer of Kamloops and great-grandchildren Ty, Hunter, Spencer, Matthew, Ethan and Kate. Peef was predeceased by sisters Margueruite Gurr, Ginger Erickson and brothers Louis, Carl, Joe and Benny. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Myrt Allison, Liz, Lucy and Berniece Pavan as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Lynne Dorrien Helmer passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the age of 74 years.
Lynne is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Ron Helmer; her sons Tim (Nadine) of Calgary and David (Charlene) of Lacombe; her grandchildren Erin, Kyle, Alina and Jenna; and sister Marian. She is predeceased by her parents Dorrien and Bill Davidson and her brother Bill.
Lynne loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas, Reno, and Wendover- trips financed by her blackjack winnings. She achieved the rank of Life Master in duplicate bridge, when she took up the game after retiring as a well-respected supervisor at Scotiabank.
Thanks to the staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital for their care and support.
At Lynne’s request, a private family graveside service was held.

Marshall peacefully passed away in his sleep at home on Sunday July 21.

It is with great sadness that the family share the loss of of KAZUMI (TRICKY) OIKAWA on July 22, 2013 at the age of 82 years. Tricky leaves behind two children, Dean (Carole Anne), and Scott. He was predeceased by his wife Mary, father Masami, mother Kanako, and brother Kim. He is survived by one sister, 8 brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tricky was born on March 28, 1931, on Lion’s Island in New Westminster BC., the second child and oldest son of what was to be eventually 11 children. The family was relocated to Southern Alberta during World War II and eventually ended up in the Picture Butte area where he lived until his passing.
Tricky was an avid sportsman. He spent much of his life at the ball diamond, curling rink, golf course, and favorite fishing hole

With great sadness we announce the passing of Marilyn Saunders on Thursday, July 18, 2013. Born in Montreal, Quebec on May 2, 1954, Marilyn lived in many places across Canada but called Alberta her home for many years. Marilyn’s top priority was care for her family. A daughter, sister, friend, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who lives she has touched. Marilyn is survived by her son John Hampson, her daughter Deanna (Tim) Saunders, her son Nicholas Saunders, and her step children Patti (Merv) Caven and Rob (Jennifer) Wachtler and her grandchildren Dustin, Brandon, Ethan, Jenna, Dylan, Joshua, Lea, Khloe, and Kienna. Stilson (Pisko)
Loretta Ann Stilson passed away peacefully on Monday, July 23 at the age of 79. She was encircled in love by family and close friends during her last days and throughout her entire lifetime.
Loretta was predeceased by her beloved husband Gerald ‘Jerry’ Stilson, parents Anne Marie and Andrew Pisko, her brother Ed Pisko, her sister Florence Crilly and her lifelong friend, Laura Peake. She missed them greatly. Because of her faith, Loretta was comforted in knowing that she would be reunited with them in heaven.
She is survived by her children; Ted (Tania) Stilson, Ken Stilson, Leanne (Bill Ambrus); and her most cherished grandchildren; Brittany, Michael and Jerrie Ambrus; Matthew and Dylan Stilson.
Loretta lived her life with grace, forgiveness and selfless, unconditional love. She was known for her deep faith, her incredible hospitality and her delightful sense of humor. One of her favourite words of wisdom was ‘don’t assume’. Friends and family were Loretta’s love and joy.
Loretta was an incredible and loyal friend to many people throughout her life. The family would especially like to thank her dear friends Shannon (George) Lomas, Bev (Dave) Potter, Lil (Bob) Parkyn and Stan & Joan Pisko for their endless support and devotion. They brought much happiness to her life and she loved them dearly.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Ireland and the exceptional palliative care team at St. Michael’s. You helped make her last days so peaceful, comfortable and dignified.
Thanks also to Father Francis, Father Kevin and Sister Ivy. We were all blessed to have your support during her journey.
Loretta will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of us.
