Pedestrian killed in vehicle collision south of Magrath

A woman has died following a vehicle pedestrian collision in a rural area south of Magrath. At approximately 7:30 pm Monday evening Raymond/Magrath RCMP were dispatched to a vehicle and pedestrian collision which occurred approximately 18 km southwest of Magrath on Range Road 225. EMS attended and transported a 36-year-old woman, from the rural Magrath area, to hospital where she succumb as a result of her injuries.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the truck was travelling northbound on Range Road 225 at the time of the collision.
Raymond/Magrath RCMP and RCMP Collision Analyst continue to investigate this collision. No further updates are anticipated and the name of the deceased will not be released.
