Coaldale Blankets for Canada sewing up a storm

By Lethbridge Herald on December 8, 2020.

Blankets for Canada gives thanks. It’s a time of thanksgiving!
And we at Coaldale Blankets for Canada want to thank all those in our community and around us for all the yarn and squares that have been donated this past year. Also the materials that are sewn into quilts. The smallest balls are welcome.
All this yarn has turned into 140 blankets that we have brought to Lethbridge. Of these, we take 50 to Edmonton. A few hundred go to Calgary and in October, 300 went to local organizations around southern Alberta. So you can read that a lot of little balls can make many blankets.
On a sad note, our friend Annie of Picture Butte passed away. But people may still drop off yarn or squares at the same place. As the Lethbridge office is still closed, feel free to drop off yarn, squares or material at our place. We will bring it there when it reopens.
The Picture Butte address is: 102 4 St. S., till further notice.
In Coaldale, we meet every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2226 23 Ave. For more information, call 403-345-3205.
Thank you for your support in 2020 and we wish you all a safe Christmas season and new year.
