Cynthia was one of many children raised by her grandparents the late Annie and Billy Bird and mother Beulah. She grew up in Moses Lake and the Town of Cardston area. Cindy grew up following in the footsteps of her grandparents in their Christian culture. She travelled and attended many camp meetings and church revivals in both Canada and United States throughout her years. She loved travelling and her many fond memories she spoke of were her travels to Yakima, Washington to pick apples with her family. Her travels carried on when she entered the Shouting family. When she had children, she attended many pow-wows and ceremonial gatherings with her in-laws Agnes and Bernard Shouting and the late Carola Calf Robe and her family. Cindy attended the Red Crow College and received her Basic Skills and Life skills certificates with her many good friends. Cindy had many skills, which made it easy for her to find work, but her love of cooking pursued her to become a cook supervisor for Humpty’s Restaurant, Yotees and the Red Crow College along side her good friend the Late Sharon Creighton. During this time, she was blessed with many lifelong friends and the many students she called her children. Cindy had a special loving bond with all her nieces and nephews, she was never too busy to sit and talk or lend a shoulder whenever they needed her. Everything about Cindy drew people to her and she always had a little or huge impact in the lives of those who were blessed to know her. Cindy was big on family and throughout her years she always managed to gather family together, even with the COVID-19 restrictions she managed to gather family together to say their farewells. She was small but determined. Her love of her children and grandchildren pushed her everyday to create lasting memories we will all cherish for generations to come. Cindy was greatly loved and cherished by all who knew her, and we will always love and honor her memory. She was the light and foundation of our family and she will be greatly missed.
