Canada West rugby 15s is ready to kick off in the fall.
And the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns will play the role of hosts to get things rolling.
The Canada West released its 2021 rugby 15s schedule Tuesday with action beginning Sept. 18.
Four of the conference’s five teams will take to the field on opening weekend. That will include the Lethbridge Pronghorns and Alberta Pandas playing under the lights at the University of Lethbridge Stadium.
The UBC Thunderbirds, coming off of their first conference championship in 2019, will visit the Victoria Vikes to open their title defence Sept. 19.
The Calgary Dinos will have to wait until Week 2 to open their season, playing host to the Pronghorns Sept. 24.
The Pronghorns will play six regular season games.
They are in Edmonton Oct. 2 to face the Pandas and are back home Oct. 8 when the Calgary Dinos come to town.
The Horns wind up the regular season on the west coast, facing the Thunderbirds Oct. 14 and the Vikes Oct. 17.
