The LCI Rams football team remains ranked second in the Football Alberta Tier I division after Week 8 of high school gridiron action.
Meanwhile, the Raymond Comets hold seventh place in Tier I following a victory last weekend.
The Rams downed Medicine Hat 42-6 in non-league play Saturday night at the University of Lethbridge Stadium to improve to 7-1 on the season.
Meanwhile, the Comets (3-4) beat Holy Trinity Academy 26-21 to keep their seventh seeding in Tier I after the eighth week.
In Southern Alberta High School Football League Division B play Friday night, the Taber St.
Mary’s Rebels defeated the Winston Churchill Bulldogs 56-9 to improve to 2-4 and keep their seventh seeding in the Football Alberta Tier IV rankings.
In Tier II action, the Chinook Coyotes 14-3 win over the Catholic Central Cougars in the SAHSFL Tier II semifinals Friday night at the U of L Stadium improved them to 6-1 and keeps them in eighth place in the provincial standings.
It also gives them a berth in the SAHSFL Tier II finals against the 3-3-1 Cardston Cougars, who were idle last weekend and remain in fourth place in the Tier II rankings.
The game goes Friday night at 6 p.m. in Cardston with the winner advancing to face Medicine Hat in the zone final the following weekend.
In the Tier IV division, the 1-5 Claresholm Willow Creek Cobras were idle and moved to ninth place from eighth.
