A trio of high school playoff football games hit the gridiron around southern Alberta Friday night.
In the Tier I South Zone Championship, the Raymond Comets defeated the LCI Rams 31-14 at the University of Lethbridge Stadium.
Earlier in the season, the Rams defeated the Comets 28-7 at Comets Stadium in Raymond.
In the Tier II final, the Cardston Cougars lost a close 27-26 decision to the Medicine Hat High Hawks at the Methanex Bowl in Medicine Hat.
The Cougars earned a berth in the game as the Southern Alberta High School Football League representative after defeating the Chinook Coyotes 14-0 the previous weekend in Cardston
In the Tier IV final in Taber, the Taber W.R. Myers Rebels downed the Claresholm Willow Creek Cobras 24-6.
Both teams advance to provincials, but the Rebels will get a home game with their win, while the Cobras start on the road.
