The Last Chance Cat Ranch had the opportunity to present to the City of Lethbridge Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Thursday about the Stop Order issued in February.
Board member and volunteer Laurie Olmstead said they will receive a ruling by Apr. 15, 2022.
“We talked about where our roots are and then spoke to specifics in the stop order and asked at the end of the day, that this stop order be lifted,” said Olmstead.
She said the appeal board listened to them intently and asked questions and now they are deliberating.
“I think the whole thing was about two and half hours long. The first probably 20 minutes was the city’s presentation and then we had our side where we spoke about who we are, what we’re doing, what we stand for,” said Olmstead.
She said five volunteers had the opportunity to speak on behalf of the LCCR along with ten members of the public.
“Each one was afforded five minutes and most people took the full five minutes and the appeals board took all that under consideration,” said Olmstead.

How about we don’t wait to move them before another fire happens?
