The Lethbridge Bulls beat the Brooks Bombers 12-11 in the bottom of the ninth on Thursday night at Spitz Stadium and improve their record to 16-14 on the season.
It was Torrin Vaselenek who hit a double in the bottom of the ninth to score Sammy Hilgersom for the winning run.
The Bulls got the early lead in the bottom of second as Carlin Dick hit a two-out single to score Torrin Vaselenak and Carter Claerhout.
Lethbridge would pad their lead in the bottom of the third inning with five runs as Brandon Nicoll drove in Noah Rodriguez with a single and advanced Nick Gravel to second and Tyler Vivier to third.
Nolan King came up to the plate next and hit a double to score Vivier and Gravel.
Claerhout hit a single later in the inning to score King and Nicoll.
Brooks would tie the game with a big fourth inning as they scored seven runs on eight hits.
The onslaught began with the Bombers Kiel Brenczewski hit a single, advancing Denver Blinn to home and getting Jimmy Costin to second.
Spencer Voisin came up and hit a single to score Costin from second.
Drew Mackie came up two batters later and hit a single to score Brenczewski and Voisin.
Matt Wolff came up to bat later and hit a single to cash in Mackie and Jagger Pico .
Blinn reached first base on an error and scored Jonah Weisner.
Nolan King pulled the Bulls ahead 8-7 with a single to score Brandon Nicoll in the bottom of the fourth.
The fifth inning saw Brooks score three runs as Weisner hit a single to score Pico and Mackie.
Weisner would score Brooks’ 10th run later in the inning.
Brooks added to their lead in the sixth as Pico hit a two-out single to cash in Blinn.
Lethbridge tied the game up at 11 in the bottom of the seventh as Vaselenak hit a triple to score Nolan King and Sammy Hilgersom.
Vaselenak later scored on a Krece Papierski sacrifice fly.
The Bulls beat the Moose Jaw Miller Xpress 11-6 on Tuesday and 5-2 on Wednesday.
The Bulls play host to the Weyburn Beavers tonight at 7:05 p.m.
