Elks sweep Monarchs to get back on track

The Lethbridge Elks ‘AA’ baseball team came away with two wins against the Medicine Hat Monarchs on Tuesday.

Lethbridge took the first game 6-4, with Jaxon Filipenko taking the win and Riley Pearce picking up the save.

Zach Lyon led the way with two doubles and Sam Hilgersom had two hits.

The Elks, in the second game, squeaked by the Monarchs 8-7.

Lyon picked up the win, while Aiden Wensmann hit a two-run double in the seventh to get the win and Luke Puszkar had two hits.

Lethbridge played in Great Falls against the Chargers on Sunday and won the first game 10-1 and dropped the second game 9-3.

The Elks will be back in action against Helena on Saturday.
