The Lethbridge College Kodiaks soccer teams were on the road this weekend and results included a loss, tie and win between both clubs.
The women’s side sit above .500 with a 3-2-1 record after a 2-0 win against University of Augustana on Saturday and then dropped their Sunday game 5-1 to Red Deer Polytechnic.
The Kodiaks were deadlocked at zero with Augustana before scoring two goals in the second half off the foots of Olivia DePasquale at the 46th minute and Taylor Hrycun at the 82nd minute.
Shots were 9-2 in favour of LC.
In Red Deer, the Kodiaks found themselves down 5-0 until DePasquale scored at the 60th minute to break the shutout bid.
The men’s team managed a 2-2 draw with Red Deer Polytechnic on Sunday.
Red Deer gained the early lead at the seven-minute mark as Grant Johnson put the ball in the back of the net. However, the Kodiaks finally got on the board at the 76th minute as Ethan Meerkerk scored and Jaxon Uhl put LC ahead 2-1 at the 79th minute.
The Kodiaks could not hold on as Ajdin Sarcevic scored for Red Deer at the 82nd minute to settle for a draw
