U18AAA Hurricanes have successful road trip

The Lethbridge U18 AAA Hurricanes improved to 3-1 on the year after two road wins up north over the weekend.

The Canes doubled the Edmonton Jr. Oilers Orange 8-4 on Saturday.

Deegan Kinniburgh led the way with a six point game (2 goals, 4 assists) followed by Carter Cunningham with three goals and two assists.

Hudson Gainer, Jesse Klimosko and Jager Gugyelka has a goal each in the win.

Lethbridge edged Lloydminster 3-2 on Sunday.

Kinniburgh, Rhyle Weaselhead and Chase Bambrick scored in the win.

U17AAA

The U17AAA Headwater Hurricanes opened their season with two consecutive losses.

Lethbridge bowed 3-2 to the SEAC Tigers in Medicine Hat on Saturday.

Connor Chapman and Raiden Peter scored for the Canes.

The Okotoks Oilers spoiled the home opener for the Canes on Sunday as they came in and dominated all over the ice in a 9-1 win.

Tavish Forbes scored  the lone goal for the Lethbridge.

Okotoks scored 3 in the first, five in second and one in the third.
