The drought continues for the Lethbridge Hurricanes in Tri-City as they lost 4-2 to the Americans on Friday night.
It’s been 23 years since the Canes last won there.
Each team traded goals in the first period as the Canes’ Cole Shepard opened the games’ scoring at 9:01 of the first from Logan McCutcheon and Jett Jones.
The Americans’ Andrew Fan replied for the home side at 16:33 of the first to tie the game at one.
The Americans pushed ahead at 9:04 of the second as Tyson Greenway potted his 12th of the season past Harrison Meneghin.
Jones tied the game at two just 11 seconds into the third period from Tyson Laventure.
Greenway got his second of the game at 10:48 of the third to push Tri-City ahead and Ethan Ernst provided a little extra cushion at 17:51 on the powerplay to give the Americans the 4-2 win.
The Canes record fell to 14-11-0-1 on the season and will wrap the trip up in Spokane tonight at 8 p.m.
