LETHBRIDGE SPORT COUNCIL
Canada Winter Games will kick off in Prince Edward Island on Saturday and competition in 20 sports and continues until March 6.
The Games will welcome up to 3,600 athletes, managers and coaches to PEI. Team Alberta is comprised of 330 athletes, coaches, and managers, representing all corners of our province.
The Lethbridge region will be represented at the Games by 12 athletes, three coaches and managers. We will be cheering loudly for Team Alberta with an extra loud cheer for our local athletes. Speed skating events will be held in Week 1, while judo, female hockey, and figure skating will be held in Week 2.
Judo athletes include Addyson Tamura, Aden Kim, Aliya Koliaska, Callie Render, Charlize Isabelle Medilo, Connor Hazell, manager Ewan Beaton, Loic Beaton ,Maralgoo Batbayar, Troy Gallant and coach Russ Gallant.
Female hockey players representing the city will be Kendal Davidson and Summer Fomradas.
Zakary Adelman and Mikka Eaves will hit the ice in speed skating and Olead Taboulchanas will represent figure skating.

The Canada Games have been hosted three times in Alberta. Alberta hosted the Canada Games in 1975 (Lethbridge), 1995 (Grande Prairie), and 2019 (Red Deer).
