The Okotoks Dawgs took down the Lethbridge Bulls with a 10-7 win on Tuesday night at Spitz Stadium.
The Dawgs got on the board in the first inning with three runs to get out to an early lead as Brendan Luther and Ricardo Sanchez scored on an error to first base.
Titus Dumitru scored on a fielder’s choice by Trent Lenihan to make the score 3-0 Dawgs.
The Bulls tied up the game with three of their own runs in the bottom of the second inning.
Demitri Shakotko hit a double to score Cardel Dick.
Josh Kabayama came to a plate a couple batters later and hit single to score Shakotko and Carlin Dick.
Kabayama gave the Bulls a brief lead in the fourth inning as his single cashed in Nick Gravel to make the score 4-3.
In the fifth, Dumitru reached first base on an error and Alejandro Cazorola scored to tie the game 4-4.
A Logan Grant single scored Sanchez to put the visitors ahead 5-4.
In the bottom of the same inning, Carlin Dick hit a sacrifice fly to score Jackson Kalisky to tie the game 5-5.
Luther hit a single in the sixth to score Elijah Hammill and give the Dawgs a 6-5 lead.
Cazorla scored also in the sixth to give the visitors a two-run lead.
Okotoks padded their lead in the eighth inning with three more runs to take a 10-5 lead.
Lethbridge scored two of their own in the bottom of the eighth when Carlin Dick hit a two-run home run to make it 10-7.
The Bulls came into the contest having won two out of their last three games after beating Sylvan Lake 5-2 on Sunday, demolishing the Brooks Bombers 14-4 on Saturday and a 7-3 lo ss to the Medicine Hat Mavericks on Friday.
The Bulls are next in action on Thursday night in Medicine Hat.
