Kodiak women’s volleyball get in win column

The Lethbridge College Kodiaks women’s volleyball team got their first two wins of the year after beating  the Medicine Hat College Rattlers on Friday and Saturday,

 The Kodiaks won both matches in four sets.

The wins improved their record to 2-3.

 As for the men’s volleyball team, they split their games with the Rattlers by losing the opener in four sets on Friday  and then sweeping Medicine Hat in three sets on Saturday.

The men are at 4-1 on the season.

 Cross-Country

 Kodiak cross country runners competed at the Canadian College Athletic Association nationals in Truro, N.S. on Saturday.

 Owen Stewart was the highest finishing men’s Kodiak runner in 20th place and Katrina Michel, who was the only Kodiak women’s runner at the event, placed 40th.

Ethan Grasmeyer came 35th, Justin Fisher finishes 54th, Connor Van Den Hoek finished 62nd, Keegan Hartery in 64th and Kaysen Mohamed placed 42nd.

  U of L Pronghorns

  U of L’s women’s basketball team got their first win of the season after winning their home opener 81-79 over the UBCO Heat on Friday.

The Horn women’s got the split after the Heat returned the favour with a 70-68 win on Saturday.

The team now sits at 1-3 on the season

The Horn men’s teams dropped to 0-4 on the season after 77-76 and 76-71 losses respectively to the Heat on the same nights.
