Hurricane AAA teams struggle over weekend

It was a weekend to forget for all of Lethbridge’s Alberta Elite Hockey League teams as all of them lost their games.

 The Val Matteoti Golden Hawks U15AAA hockey team lost the back half of the home and home 5-4 in overtime  to the Southeast Tigers on Friday at Nicholas Sheran Arena.

Oliver Chatters, Landon Ward, Kutcher Aquila and Damen Vanderberg scored in the loss.

The Tigers won 5-3 a week before.

The Golden Hawks record fell to 2-5-0-1 on the season with the loss.

 U17AAA

The Headwater Hurricanes were on the wrong end of a 5-2 loss to the Calgary Bulls on the road on Saturday.

Parker Toth and Dayne Creighton scored in the defeat.

The loss dropped the Canes record to 2-6 on the season.

 U18AAA

 The U18AAA lost their only game of the weekend, 6-1, to the Calgary NorthStars on Sunday afternoon at Nicholas Sheran Arena.

Rylan Ng notched the only tally for the Canes in the game.
