The Lethbridge Hurricanes improved their record to 3-1 on the B.C. road trip after a 7-3 win over the Kamloops Blazers on Wednesday night.
The Blazers opened up the scoring at the 10:54 mark of the first off the stick of Logan Bairos on the powerplay from Fraser Minten and Emmitt Finnie.
Brayden Edwards replied for the Canes at 18:14 of the first period from Logan Wormald to tie the game at one heading into the intermission.
The Hurricanes scored five goals in the second period as they got goals from Edwards, Wormald, Leo Braillard, Kooper Gizowski and Tyson Zimmer to take a 6-3 lead.
Kamloops got two goals from Minten in the middle frame.
Miguel Marques scored his eighth of the season in the third at 11:46 to give Lethbridge a 7-3 lead.
Lethbridge went 2-for-5 and Kamloops had two goals on four chances on the powerplay.
Shots were 39-35 in favour of the Blazers.
The Hurricanes (13-9-2-0) will conclude the road trip against the Western Conference -leading Prince George Cougars (16-6) on Friday night at 8 p.m.
