The Lethbridge Hurricanes had a road game to forget as they were blanked 6-0 by the Swift Current Broncos on Wednesday night.
The Broncos got on the board first when Josh Filmon scored his 20th of the year just 7:25 into the contest.
Swift Current doubled their lead almost halfway through the first when Connor Gabriel notched his sixth goal of the season from Grayson Burzynski and Ryan McCleary.
Connor Hvidston made it 3-0 Broncos with 23 seconds to go in the first period with the assist going to McCleary.
Connor Geekie found the back of the net for his 26th of the season just 6:22 into the middle period to give the Broncos a 4-0 lead.
Filmon and Mathew Ward assisted on the goal.
The onslaught continued for the Broncos as Petr Pavelec scored 12:27 into the second from Gabriel to make the score 5-0.
Filmon scored his second of the night just 2:50 into the third period from Geekie and Owen Pickering to make the score 6-0.
Neither team scored on their powerplay chances.
Final shots were in 35-28 in favour of the Broncos.
The Hurricanes (23-20-3-0) will host the Calgary Hitmen on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Enmax Centre.
