Raiders shut out the Canes

Nathan Reiter/Prince Albert Daily HERALD Lethbridge Hurricanes Kale Tipler fights Oli Chenier of the Prince Albert Raiders during WHL action at the Art Hauser Centre on Wednesday night.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes dropped their fourth consecutive road game after a 3-0 loss to the Prince Albert Raiders on Wednesday night.

The Raiders’ Niall Crocker open the scoring on the powerplay with his 17th of the season 8:15 into the first period from Sloan Stanick and Terrell Goldsmith.

Braeden Wynne was sitting off for interference when the goal was scored.

Prince Albert made it 2-0 off the stick of Brayden Dube just 2:44 into the middle frame from Cole Peardon.

Hayden Lodewyk extended the Raiders lead to 3-0 with under three minutes to go in the second period from Eric Johnston.

The Raiders went 1-for 3 while the Canes went 0-for 3 with the man advantage.

Final shots were 40-18 for Prince Albert.

The Raiders hold a 2-0 record against the Canes this season.

The Canes (24-22-3-0) are now 0-2 on this current four game road trip and will look to get back on track on Friday night in Brandon against the Wheat Kings at 6 p.m.
