Keith Williams 1953 – 2024 It is with deep sorrow and much love, the family of Keith Henrie Williams mourn the loss of their beloved husband, father and grandfather, who passed away peacefully in Calgary, surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, February 9, 2024 at the age of 71 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet the family at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 – 50 Avenue, Taber on Friday, February 23, 2024 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. and at the church prior to the funeral service on Saturday, February 24, 2024 between 12:00 P.M. and 12:45 P.M.

BIKMAN Dan & Regan Bikman proudly but with broken hearts, introduce their son, ATLAS ISAAC BIKMAN. WENDY LOU JENSEN 1958 – 2024 Wendy Jensen, loving wife of Dale Jensen, grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away at St Michael’s Health Centre, Lethbridge on Friday, February 9, 2024.
Wendy is survived by her 3 stepchildren Christine (Travis Brouwer) Jensen of Calgary, Dale Jensen (Jr). of Lethbridge, and Ryan Jensen of Lethbridge; 10 grandchildren Brandon, Nathan, Dayton, Tyson, Jayde, Janks, Caden, Rylee, Brody, Dane; 1 great-grandchild Kane; sister-in-law Debbie (Fred Guenther) Jensen, brother-in-law Larry (Sharon) Jensen.
Also survived by her sister-in-law Sandra (Brian) Murray; nephew/son Trevor (Susan) Wilson; niece Tracy Murray; stepmother Georgina Wilson; sister-in-law Brenda (Dean) Maxwell; stepsister Lisa (Paul) Cridland; stepbrother Shane (Rachel) Wilson; nephew BJ (Sparla) Wilson; nephew Tyler (Katie Quibell) Wilson; nephew Aaron (Emily) McLaughlin.
Wendy was predeceased by her husband Dale Jensen, brother Craig Wilson, mother Jean Wilson, and father Daniel Wilson.
Wendy was a scholar, writer, poet, artist, gardener, and proud pet owner. She cared for all those around her and gave of herself to all those who needed her.
She was proud to be a hard worker and excelled at her chosen career. She let indelible marks on those she worked with and cared for.
Wendy will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

GROUETTE DORALE “BUD” ANTHOINE GROUETTE, beloved husband of Marjorie Suzanne Grouette (née Marshman), of Lethbridge, AB, passed away after a short stay at Good Samaritans Park Meadows Village, on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at the age of 76 years.
Besides his loving wife, Suzanne, Bud is survived by his daughter Amanda (Jason) Addy and his fur baby, Coco. He is also survived by his twin sister Doreen Revesz, nephew Richard Revesz, brother Dale (Joan) Wilson, mother-in-law Viola Marshman, and sister-in-law Marilyn Marshman, as well as many nieces, nephews and their families.
He was predeceased by his parents Lydia and Joseph Grouette, aunt and uncle Birdie and Clarence Schmitt, sister Rayma Hunt, brother-in-law Richard Revesz and father-in-law Jack Marshman.
Dad was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, alongside his twin sister, Doreen. After the passing of their mother, the twins came to Lethbridge to live with their aunt and uncle. After a short engagement, Dad and Mom got married in September of 1980. Six years later, in February of 1986, their family of two became a family of three. In Dad’s words, “The family is complete.”
Dad was a compassionate, thoughtful and honourable man, who dearly loved his family and Coco. He thoroughly enjoyed camping at the lake, playing Bingo, 5-Pin Bowling, and playing Crib with family, friends and cherished neighbours.
A Celebration of Bud’s Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 2:00 P.M, with Pat Siedlecki officiating. Dad’s request was that everyone in attendance wear casual clothes. The Celebration of Life will be live-streamed and may be viewed through his obituary on the Cornerstone website.

DAVIES, Shanda

DAVIES SHANDA MICHELLE DAVIES (née Green), passed away peacefully with her family by her side at St. Michael’s Health Centre – Palliative Care on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at the young age of 50 years.
Shanda was born March 26, 1973 to Robert and Martha Green, the middle of three children. Lethbridge was always where Shanda called home, where she raised her family of three, and made deep impact on her community.
Entering the world of esthetics, beauty and skin care early, Shanda dedicated her life and career to helping those around her look and feel their best in their own skin and make their own mark of beauty on the world around them. Everywhere Shanda went and in every life she touched, she left an imprint of beauty, love and laughter.
Family is what mattered most to Shanda, and her children were the source of deep purpose and joy. Shanda raised one son and two daughters: Grayson Tyler Luke (26), Danica Angelina (23) and Nadia Arianna (17), all of Lethbridge.
Shanda began her fight with Ovarian Cancer in July of 2022. She faced this battle with fierce and fearless resiliency, refusing to allow it to shadow her ability to spread her passionate, bubbly, and radiant love and energy to the lives she was able to touch each day.
On the morning of Tuesday, February 13, 2024, Shanda went home to be in the eternal presence of her redeeming Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, while surrounded by her family.
Shanda was survived by her children: Grayson, Danica and Nadia; parents, Robert and Martha Green of Lethbridge; her sister, Kindry Khattab (Mohamed, and six children) of Flower Mound TX, her brother Jason Green (and two daughters) of Calgary AB.
The family suggests considering in lieu of flowers, a donation to assist her children in the costs of the funeral. All donations can be forwarded to Cornerstone Funeral Home.

GUDMUNDSON, Vincent

GUDMUNDSON VINCENT COLLISHAW GUDMUNDSON was born May 13, 1941 and passed away peacefully with family by his side, on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at the age of 82 years.
Vince will be remembered for his warm laugh, patience and kind heart. He loved the outdoors, nature, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a good friend to many.
Vince was born to Roseanne and Steini Gudmundson and grew up in Elfros, Saskatchewan in a small farmhouse with his sister Chris and brothers, Leo and Ernie. He and Leo rode horses to school. Some winters, the snow was almost as deep as the telephone poles.
He met his highschool sweetheart at a dance in Wynyard, Saskatchewan and she was smitten with his handsome looks and knew they would be together forever. He married Glory McLennan in 1967. They have four children.
Vince was a proud member of the RCMP and joined the force in 1965. He was stationed in Nelson, Castlegar and in Ocean Falls, BC, where he and Glory ran the police station and jail below their apartment. When Vince received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Alberta in 1974, he took his skills to the Forensic Science and Crime Detection Lab in 1969 and worked in the Hair and Fibre section of the lab for ten years in Edmonton and then ten years in Halifax. He was proud of his work.
Upon retirement, Vince and Glory opened two Tim Hortons franchises in Lethbridge, Alberta and heard many cop and donut jokes. They moved on from there and Vince worked briefly as a crop adjuster for AFSC, and then found a role he loved, working a dream job with his good friend Oscar Walter, helping and laughing with him on his farm in Lethbridge.
Vince will be missed dearly by his siblings and their spouses, Leo and Linda, Ernie and Cheryl, and Chris and Fred.
He will be especially missed by his wife of 57 years, Glory, as well as by his children, grandchildren and great granddaughter; Lori, Jaden (Ethan), Kian and Emma of Anmore and Port Moody, BC., Cam (Cherry) Ragnar, Gunnar and Brynjar of Fort McMurray. Kurt (Trina), Kyla and Griffin of Fort McMurray and Dori (Becky) Avery and Colten of Coaldale.
The last few years of Vince’s life were tough, as the cancer he fought hard against advanced after a 16-year battle. He continued to cherish his time with family and had his final coffee meet up with friends last week. His grandkids will certainly miss hearing all those old RCMP stories. He lives on in the hearts of all that knew him.

Joan Snaith 1936 Р2024 It is with great sadness and love that the family of Olga Joan Snaith (n̩e Sivertson) announce her passing in Taber on Friday, February 9, 2024 at the age of 87 years.
Joan is survived by her sons and daughters, Gregory (Carol) Snaith of Edmonton, Jacqueline (Gordon) Petersen of Sherwood Park, Ray (Viola) Snaith of Sanford, Manitoba, and Kelly (Brian) Madruga of Florence, Montana; nine grandsons and granddaughters, Jeremy, Jennifer, Jolene, Jason, Jessica, Carley, Gillian, Jaslynn and Colton; five great grandsons and great granddaughters, Ashton, Annaliese, Hannah, Felix and Tucker. She is also survived by her brother Gerald (Beverly) Sivertson, sister in laws Ellen Snaith, Fran (Bob) Wright and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband David Snaith and three sisters, Betty Sivertson, Helen Odland and Marlene Pakarno.
Joan was born in Carmangay on October 31, 1936, growing up in Enchant district, the daughter of Sivert and Mabel Sivertson. Post high school, Joan attended and graduated from the Lethbridge Galt School of Nursing in 1957 and enjoyed a fulfilling career in the medical industry, working in both homecare and at the Vauxhall Medical Clinic. It was during her nursing training Joan met the love of her life, David Snaith from Vauxhall. They married in March 1959 and began a lifetime of memories, having celebrated sixty Four years of marriage.
Joan’s passions included gardening, baking, sewing, knitting and hosting family celebrations.
In keeping with Joan’s wishes, a double “celebration of life” memorial with her beloved husband David will be held at the Vauxhall Lions Park on Saturday, August 3, 2024. He is predeceased by his father Gordon Kirkeby, mother Wilma Kirkeby and many family and friends.

HARKER, Arlene

HARKER Arlene Hudson Harker, beloved eternal companion of the late Golden Miller Harker, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2024 in Raymond, Alberta at the age of 94.
She is survived by her children: Lynne (Bernie) Kenny, Renae (Guy) Hambly, Sandra (Earl) Pierson, Shirley (Randy) Bowden, Carole (Jeff) Rogers, and Gregory (Heather) Harker. Her posterity includes 22 grandchildren 34 great- grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers: David, Arthur and Drew Hudson.
She was predeceased by her husband, a granddaughter, a son-in-law, her parents, and two brothers.
The family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to the staff at Good Samaritan Society in Raymond for the loving care given to our sweet mother.

FREEL, Byron “Barney”

FREEL, Byron (Barney) November 20, 1946 – February 15, 2024 Byron (Barney) George James Freel passed away surrounded by his family at Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, Alberta, on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Barney was born on November 20, 1946, in Lethbridge, Alberta. He was predeceased by his father, Byron (Barney) Freel, and his mother, Winifred Freel. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lydia Freel; his daughters, Vanessa Freel, Nicole Freel, and Brittany (Kevin) Sorge; his grandchildren, Zachary Freel, Max Sorge, and Layla Sorge; his sisters, Virginia Freese and Veronica (Pat) Emerson; and many other family and friends. Barney was the best dad, grandpa, brother, friend, son, and husband you could ask for. He showed his love through acts of service, always sacrificing his own time and energy to help others. He loved to spend time with his daughters and grandchildren, stopping everything when they called and needed him. When he wasn’t helping out, he loved to spend time at the cabin in Montana, riding (rolling) the quad, relaxing on the deck with a drink, having early morning coffees with his friends, or just puttering at the items on Lydia’s to-do list. Barney spent most of his working years as a firefighter with the Lethbridge Fire Department, where he built many life-long friendships. He is deeply loved by his family and friends, just as fiercely as he loved them in return. We will miss him so much. Barney’s family would like to acknowledge the incredible skill, support, and empathy provided by every member of the Foothills Cardiovascular ICU team during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lethbridge Firefighters Charities Association. At Barney’s request, we will invite friends and family to celebrate his life (over a few drinks, of course) at a later date. SCHIKOWSKY, Sylvester “Louis”

SCHIKOWSKY “LOUIS, LOUIE, TRAILER LOU” SYLVESTER SCHIKOWSKY, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Sheila Schikowsky, passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Health Centre – Palliative Care Unit, on Monday, February 12, 2024 at the precious age of 91 years.
Born: February 9, 1933
Taking a trip of 93 million miles, making his way from the earth to the sun: February 12, 2024.
Louie is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sheila; his daughter Kerry (Joost) Van Ham, his daughter-in-law Takako Schikowsky; his beloved granddaughter Jasper and grandson Zachary; his siblings: Loretta, Tony, Bert and Jeanette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by their beloved son, Mark, and his brother, Bernie.
Born and raised on a farm near Avonlea, SK, Louie was the third oldest child of Veronica and Peter Schikowsky. Among the many skills he learned on the farm were becoming the fixer of anything, his strength, hard work ethic and sense of humour. Along with some of his siblings, Louie received his High School diploma from Notre Dame College in Wilcox, SK. This resulted in many stories with twinkles in his eyes and laughter in his belly.
Louie apprenticed in auto mechanics at Dominion Motors in Saskatoon, moving up to Service Manager at Patrick Dodge Dealership, prior to coming to Lethbridge in 1963 as Service Manager at Fred King Motors. In 1971, he started his own RV business, “Travelcraft Sales and Rentals”, where “Trailer Lou has a deal for you!”, retiring in 2001 after 30 years.
Louie was extremely proud of what he and Sheila built with love and perseverance. He was enormously proud of his family and was a strong and supportive presence throughout all our lives. There was not a time you could look around and not see him, for he provided unwavering support and an interested and watchful eye, just wanting to be there, creating and being part of all the memories.
It was an absolute blessing to have him in our lives; to know him and be loved by him. Our lives are better to have been around him, and we are forever grateful. He will be tremendously missed.
As Louie would say after every meal, after every gathering, and event, “There we are, my dear.”
Louis will be laid to rest in a private Family Graveside Service.

PEARCE, Jimmy

JIMMY PEARCE The family and wife of Jimmy Pearce are saddened to announce his passing on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at the age of 66 years. After a full career with HM Government Army UK, then trucking in the UK and Europe, Jimmy came to Canada in 2009 to start his life here. Jimmy was ecstatic to become a Canadian Citizen in April of 2022. Jimmy chose to give up the life of a long hauler when he met and married Karen – this was not the life upon which to build a relationship he said. His choice to drive School Bus gave him the opportunity to make the lives of so many students just that little bit better every day. As Jimmy and Karen focused their retirement lives on dragon boating (a shift from rugby for Jimmy) – their world became full of athletes of all ages and many hours at Henderson Lake. After building a training centre in their basement, there was always a succession of paddlers in and out of the house. In 2023, Jimmy attained his International Dragon Boat Federation Officials certification. Jimmy was just named to the 2025 Canadian Junior National Team coaching team (Jimmy was a Dragon Boat Canada Competitive Level Coach). To the Cruisers – He was your coach, mentor, confidante, best cheerleader and organizer of all things dragon boat! Let’s wear those jerseys with pride. To the U24’s – He had huge expectations for you all and we will carry that on to the 2025 National Team tryouts AND paddle hard locally! To the Fab 4 – He was so deeply proud of each of you. You worked SO hard to meet his planned process to get you on that team to Thailand. To the DBC Officials – He felt very privileged to be a part of this team. To the 911 operator, EMS Paramedics, Emergency at Chinook, Stars Ambulance, ICU Foothills (3) and ICU Lethbridge (Doctors/Nurses/Unit Clerks and all) – thank you for treating us with such professionalism and respect. Jimmy had the best care possible. To all of you who were a part of Jimmy’s “check on” list.. I know we will all miss those never-ending words of relentless forward motion and to those reaching out to our family and I, Bless you and please take Jimmy’s ability to make your day with you forever – and pay it forward.

VICKERS, Marion

VICKERS Marion Vickers, beloved wife of Ramsay Vickers, passed away peacefully on Feb 12, 2024, at the age of 90. She was born on Feb 26th, 1933 as Aileen Mossey and had lived in Lethbridge her whole life.
Marion married Ramsay on Feb 25th, 1953. They had two children Jim (James) and Debra. While raising a family, Marion worked as a secretary for the President of Lethbridge Community College.
Throughout her life she was always active. She was a competitive swimmer and lifeguard as a teen, and as an adult, she enjoyed league bowling, hiking, fishing, curling, dancing, and golfing.
Her favorite place to hike and fish was Lineham Lake in Waterton. Getting there was challenging to say the least. She loved to fish the lake, and would often come home with her daily limit.
From 1968 on, she was an avid golfer. Marion loved to walk the 18 holes and could effortlessly hit her driver as straight as an arrow. She held a membership at Henderson Lake and played the ladies league at the club until her early 80’s.
After retirement, Marion and Ramsay spent many years wintering in Yuma Arizona. While there, they both found a love and talent for various styles of ballroom dancing. They would light up the room with their twirling bodies and fast feet.
Marion loved reading James Patterson, she enjoyed playing cards, suduku and candy crush. She watched Day’s Of Our Lives religiously. She enjoyed a glass of wine, loved her flowers and fresh produce from her garden. She loved going for walks, cherished tea with her friends, and phone calls and time with family.
Some would say that Marion had 9 lives. You would never know it, as she didn’t complain much. Her tenacity kept her going. She persevered always, and refused to let life’s circumstances, illnesses, or setbacks hold her back. Once Marion decided to keep going there was no stopping her.
As we say goodbye, we reflect on the incredible women she was. We know she will be dearly missed, but not forgotten. She is survived by, her husband Ramsey, sister Bernice and brother Jim, children Jim and Debra, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other family and friends. At this time, there will be no public funeral service.
