The Val Matteoti Golden Hawks U15AAA hockey club came home with a split after two road games over the weekend.
The Calgary Royals edged the Hawks 5-4 on Saturday.
Damen Vanderberg led the way with two goals while Owen Demone and Landon Ward each had a goal for the Hawks in the losing cause.
Sawyer Brick had two goals, Chris Huang, Nathan Murray and Cole Smith scored for the Royals.
Lucas Pasemko kicked out 20-of-25 shots in the Golden Hawks net.
The Golden Hawks got back in the win column on Sunday after a 5-3 win over the Calgary NWCAA Flames.
Vanderberg and Lincoln Eaves each had two goals and Maxton Okubo had a goal in the win.
Cohen Pentney had two goals and Nadarri Moliakov had a goal for the Flames.
Chase Nielson allowed three goals on 44 shots.
The Golden Hawks host the Red Deer Rebels for two games this weekend at Nicholas Sheran Arena at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday and at noon on Sunday.
The Golden Hawks are 16-10-0-2-2 and are only three points back of the Rebels for third place in the South Division.
