Bulls crush the Prospects for a fifth consecutive win

The Lethbridge Bulls won their fifth game in a row after crushing the Edmonton Prospects  17- 6  on Thursday night at Spitz Stadium.

The Bulls wasted no time getting on the board as they got out to a 6-0 lead in the second inning.

A balk by Prospects pitcher Travis McDougall allowed Carlin Dick to open the scoring and make it 1-0 Bulls.

Nick Gravel was later  issued a walked with the bases loaded to score Adonis Bernal to give the Bulls a 2-0 lead.

Ryan David scored on a Josh Kabayama’s fielder’s choice to give the Bulls a three -run lead at that point of the second inning.

A Kalem Haney single to right field cashed in Nick Gravel to make it 4-0 for Lethbridge.

Tyle Monroe came up to bat and hit a single to cash in Kabayama and increased the home team’s lead to 5-0.

Jack Kalisky hit yet another single to score Haney for the Bulls’ sixth run.

The Bulls picked up right where they left off in the third inning as they scored another three runs.

Kabayama stepped up to the plate and hit a double to left field to score David and Noah McNeil to give Lethbridge an 8-0 lead.

Monroe would make Kabayama’s double worth it as he hit a single to bring him  home for the Bulls ninth run.

The Bull tacked on five more runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Gravel hit a single up the middle in the sixth inning to score Bernal with none out and the bases loaded to give Lethbridge a 10-0 lead.

Kabayama then came up and hit a single to score David for the 11th run of the game.

Haney walked with the bases loaded, resulting in McNeil jogging home to make the score 12-0.

Monroe then hit a single up the middle to score Gravel.

Haney then scored on a wild pitch for the fifth run of the inning.

McNeil and Gravel scored on a Haney single in the seventh to make it 16-0.

The Prospects scored  three runs in the eight, while the Bulls would add one more run in the bottom half of the frame.

Edmonton would get three more in the ninth.

Javier De Alejandro was the winning pitcher for the Bulls after going seven innings, allowing no runs and two hits.

Both teams will battle again tonight at Spitz Stadium.
