Local American Legion teams eliminated from respective State tournaments

Both  of Lethbridge’s American Legion baseball teams’ seasons came to an end at their respective State tournaments on Friday.

The AA Elks lost 8-7 to the Missoula Mavericks on the last play of the game in Helena at their State tournament.

Lethbridge overcame a 5-0 deficit in the game to take a 7-5 lead into the bottom of the 7th before losing in heartbreaking fashion.

 The Elks were able to stay alive in the tournament after a 5-4 win over Bozeman on Thursday.

A 1-0  loss to Misson Valley ended the Lethbridge Miners A team’s season at their State tournament  in Polson.

The Miners stayed alive with a 20-4 win over Miles City  on Thursday.

Both teams lost their openers on Wednesday.
