ATTACK Volleyball to host inaugural adult skills clinic

ATTACK Volleyball is hosting its inaugural skills clinic for adults next month.
The skills clinic will be hosted by ATTACK coaches and founders Ard Biesheuvel and André De Lacerda and the skills of setting, passing, digging, hitting, blocking and serving will be taught.
“In my private lessons, I’ve had a few adults that took lessons from me and they were like you should run a clinic someday,” said Biesheuvel.
“In the STARS Volleyball, … (the) parents were like man this would be great if you did this for adults and I never bothered.”
Both coaches wanted to provide volleyball experiences that were unique.
“We (were) like well this seems pretty unique, let’s try this,” said Biesheuvel.
What the ATTACK Volleyball coaches want players to get from the clinic is to feel confident with their skills when they arrive back with their teams.
“So that they kind of maybe know not just how to do the skill but the whys of the skill,” said Biesheuvel.
“Like how do you use this skill in a game situation and … just be confidence doing it.”
The clinic will be held on Sept. 7 from 9 a.m- noon in the new Lethbridge Volley Building at 3221 30th Avenue North.
There are 32 spots available with 10 already taken up.
Registration can be done at attackvolleyball.ca under the upcoming events tab and players have to be 18 plus to participate.
“This is not for only elite volleyball players,” said Biesheuvel.
“This is a clinic that we’re going to break down the skills and build them back up.”
Participants will receive an ATTACK Volleyball t-shirt.
When players of all skill levels attend ATTACK Volleyball, they are meant to experience a type of volleyball that is unique, innovative and of higher quality from expert coaching.
ATTACK Volleyball was started by Biesheuvel and De Lacerda a year ago.
