Former star forward Sebastian Giovinco rejoins Toronto FC in front-office role

TORONTO – The Atomic Ant is back with Toronto FC.

Former star striker Sebastian Giovinco is rejoining the Major League Soccer club as a special adviser and team ambassador.

Giovinco is the franchise’s all-time leading scorer with 83 goals.

Toronto FC made the announcement ahead of tonight’s regular-season finale against league-leading Inter Miami at BMO Field.

The 37-year-old Giovinco played for Toronto from 2015 through 2018 before leaving in early 2019 to play in Saudi Arabia.

He helped Toronto win the MLS Cup in 2017.
