The Lethbridge Headwater Hurricanes U17AAA hockey team picked up two road wins over the weekend.
The Canes edged the Calgary Buffaloes 3-2 on Saturday.
Parker Fleishhauer scored two goals to lead the way, while Brody Stewart added a goal for the Canes.
That effort was followed by a 6-5 victory against the South (SEAC) Tigers on Sunday.
Owen Demone scored two goals while Landon Ward, Devin Groenenboom, Dawson Spence and Brent Coleman each added a goal in the win.
The U17AAA got its record back up to.500 on the season at 5-5 with those wins and sit fourth in their division.
The Canes host the Calgary Bulls this Sunday at Nicolas Sheran (2:45 p.m.).
U15AAA
The Val Matteoti Golden Hawks were edged 5-4 in overtime by the SEAC Tigers in their lone game of the weekend on Friday.
Delphin De Boer had two goals and Carter Smith and Liam Cowie scored one goal each in the loss.
The Hawks sit in the basement of the division with a 2-6-0-2-0 record.
The Hawks are on the road to play Edmonton CAC on Saturday and the Red Deer Rebels on Sunday.
U18AAA
For the U18AAA Hurricanes, it was a tough weekend on the road as they lost both of their games by a combined score of 13-4.
The Canes opened up with a 5-1 loss at the Edmonton Jr. Oilers Orange on Saturday.
Elijah Fleck scored the lone goal in the defeat.
Lethbridge was then shelled 8-2 by the St. Albert Raiders on Sunday.
Kayson Christian scored both goals for Lethbridge.
The U18AAA’s host the Calgary Royals on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Nicolas Sheran
Arena.
Lethbridge sits last in their division with a 3-9-0-0-0 record.
