The Lethbridge Val Matteotti Golden Hawks split their home-and-home series with the South East Tigers after a 4-3 loss on Wednesday night at Nicholas Sheran Arena.
Briggs Fabro had a shorthanded and a powerplay goal, while Delphin De Boer scored a goal in the loss for Lethbridge.
Trevin Ibach, Nelson Sonna Soufo, Canaan Fleck and Carter Gilchrist scored for the Tigers in the win.
The Golden Hawks edged the Tigers 2-1 in overtime on Saturday in Medicine Hat.
Cohen Ng scored the overtime winner 4:25 into overtime on the powerplay.
Liam Cowie opened the scoring 16:19 into the game to give Lethbridge a 1-0 lead.
The Golden Hawks held on to the lead until the third period when the Tigers’ Fleck tied the game at the 13:10 mark of the third period to send the game to overtime.
Lethbridge began the weekend with a 5-3 home ice loss to Okotoks on Friday.
Jake Gerstenbuhler, Huck Davis and De Boer scored in the loss.
U17AAA
The Headwater Hurricanes U17AAA struggled on the weekend as they lost all three of their road games.
The Canes lost to the Red Deer Chiefs 3-2 on Friday.
Cohen Zasadny and Owen Demone scored in the loss.
Lethbridge then travelled to take on the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers where they dropped a 3-1 decision on Saturday.
Brent Coleman scored for the Canes in the loss.
The weekend ended for the Canes with a 7-3 loss to the Southside (SSAC) Bulldogs on Sunday.
Demone and Brody Johnson each scored powerplay goals, while Zasadney added another for Lethbridge in the loss.
U18AAA
The U18AAA Hurricanes dropped both of their road games over the weekend too.
The Canes were shutout 3-0 on Saturday by the Calgary Buffaloes followed by an 8-4 defeat at the Airdries CFR Bisons on Sunday.
Sawyer Aquila, Kayson Christian, Elijah Fleck and Colby Gulliver scored for the Canes in Airdrie.
