BIRD, Dakota

BIRD DAKOTA ANGEL TAYLOR BIRD, passed away on December 9, 2024 in Lethbridge, AB at the age of 29 years. A Wake Service will be held at Streets Alive, Lethbridge on Wednesday, December 18 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. The Wake will continue at Senator Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve until 11:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church, Blood Reserve on Thursday, December 19 at 11:00 am. The interment will follow in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Stand Off.

KARRAS, Jeannine

KARRAS September 17, 1995 – December 11, 2024 JEANNINE CHRISTINE KARRAS passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the Foothills Health Centre in Calgary, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
She is survived by the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Dustin Fika; her three beautiful cats: Arya, Nymeria, and Sansa; her parents, Chris Karras and Heather Doyle; and three sisters: Carmen Penner, Raylene Trépanier, and Jordiee Karras; as well as her four nieces and one nephew.
Jeannine grew up in Lethbridge and has resided in Bassano for the past 10 years. She had a passion for animals, anime, flowers and PC gaming. Jeannine was an avid gamer from a young age. She was loved by everyone she came in contact with. She was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her.
This is such a huge loss to our family. She will be so greatly missed; Jeannine was a real-life angel taken too soon.
A Celebration of Jeannine’s life will be held in her childhood home on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. For anyone who wants to share in memory of Jeannine, please stop by.

LOIS MARIE ROELOFS 1945 – 2024 Lois Marie Roelofs (nee Root) of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully in her home at Fairmont Extendicare on Saturday, December 14th, 2024, at the age of 79 years, after a long battle with MS.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her kindness, generosity, and love of pets and baking. She is survived by her loving children Kenton Roelofs (Melissa) and Jennifer Petrak (Brett), her grandchildren Melissa, Emilee and Tyler, her siblings Leon, Glenda, and her nieces and nephew.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Lois’s life will be held at 1:00 pm, on December 21, 2024, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 STREET SOUTH, LETHBRIDGE, Alberta.
