After a break in the action, the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns basketball teams are back in action tonight and Saturday.
The Horns are in Calgary to face the Mount Royal Cougars in Canada West action.
The 1-3 Pronghorns men return after a two-week break from conference play.
In four games this season, the Pronghorns are averaging 73 points per game, while allowing 79.8 points against.
Mount Royal transfer Moreau Darlington leads the Pronghorns in scoring with 14.5 points per game, while senior forward Chad Oviatt is averaging 12 points per game and sits third in Canada West rebounding with 9.8 boards per game.
Following the first half bye week and a conference wide break in the schedule, the Pronghorns women’s basketball team (0-4) returns to action looking for their first win of the season.
Through their first four games, the Pronghorns are averaging 55.5 points per game, while allowing 72.5 points against.
Guards Savannah McMahon and Jessica Haenni led the Pronghorns attack with 12.5 and 12.3 points per game.
The women’s game goes at 6 p.m. tonight with the men to follow at 8 p.m.
On Saturday, game time is 4 p.m. for the women and 6 p.m. for the men.
The Pronghorns return home next weekend to close out the first semester of action, hosting the MacEwan Griffins at the 1st Choice Savings Centre.
