The University of Lethbridge Pronghorns track and field team is back in Edmonton this weekend.
The Horns head north again, this time for the Panda Open Friday and Saturday.
As they continue to gear up for the Canada West Championships, the Pronghorns will compete today and Saturday at the University of Alberta.
The Pronghorns look to build on a strong season debut three weeks ago in Edmonton as both the veterans and rookies enjoyed strong showings.
Among those performances were highlights from Lauchlan Irish, Andreas Troschke and Braydon Klippenstein along with Jinaye Shomachuk on the women’s side.
Troschke and Klippenstein both medaled in the weight throw, while Irish medaled in triple jump and high jump.
Shomachuk was third in weight throw.
After this weekend, the Pronghorns will travel to Winnipeg Feb. 25-27 for the Bison Classic.
The U SPORTS Championship has been delayed until the end of March to accommodate other conferences who have not been able to compete due to their conference restrictions.
As such, the Canada West made the decision to delay the conference meet.
The Canada West Championship will be moved from the end of February to March 18-20 in Winnipeg, hosted by the University of Manitoba.
Competition at the Panda Open begins today at 3:30 p.m. and Saturday at 10:45 a.m.
