A 44-year-old Lethbridge facing recent drug charges made his first appearance in court Thursday.

Cordelle Daniel Bad Arm, who was represented by an agent for his Lethbridge lawyer, Miranda Hlady, appeared in person for his brief hearing. Court was told defence is waiting to receive disclosure from the Crown’s office, and the matter was adjourned until March 5.

At about 1:30 a.m. last Saturday an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of 1 Avenue and 13 Street North for a bicycle equipment violation, police said in a news release Monday.

The man was found to have an outstanding warrant and was arrested, police reported. During a search following the arrest, police seized 31 pre-portioned bags of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.

Bad Arm is charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of failing to comply with the conditions of a release order. He was also issued tickets for two bicycle equipment violations.
