Volunteer Lethbridge, in partnership with the University of Lethbridge Students’ Union, will present its eighth annual Colour Fun Run on April 5 at the U of L campus.

The Colour Fun Run is a family oriented event where people of all ages are welcome to run or walk the colourful trail. All profits from the run help support programming at Volunteer Lethbridge, which in turn supports member agencies in Lethbridge.

In partnership with the ULSU, the Colour Fun Run takes place at the university campus and last year was able to raise over $8,000.

Before the run begins, some pre-run antics include a colour toss for participants to get their face paint on, and taking part in a warm-up Zumba class. The run will include multiple colour stations to make sure participants get as colourful as possible, water stations to keep participants hydrated, and a post-run barbecue to keep runners and walkers motivated for the end.

The eighth annual will take place on April 5 at 1 p.m. at the U of L. To purchase tickets for the family friendly five- kilometre walk/run, visit volunteerlethbridge.com and click the Colour Fun Run banner.
