Two children located inside home

Members of the Lethbridge Police Crime Suppression Team have charged a male and female with numerous drug and weapons offences following a search warrant at a westside home.
In early April the CST began an investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity that culminated with the execution of a search warrant Wednesday at a home along Mt. Sundial Bay. Two children – ages eight and 14 – were located inside and turned over to the care of a relative. During the search police seized a loaded handgun with the serial number ground off, more than 100 grams of fentanyl, prescription pills (Oxycodone and Xanax), methamphetamine and cocaine. In addition, police seized nearly $22,000 cash proceeds of crime as well as well as a Mercedes Benz, Yamaha Raptor ATV, an electric bike and high-end mountain bike.
The male and female were arrested along the 100 block of Columbia Boulevard West and additional items were seized during a search incidental to arrest including more methamphetamine, a gold Rolex watch worth nearly $57,000, a necklace worth $12,000 and just over $1,700 cash. A Ford Explorer was also seized.
A 33-year-old male and 43-year-old female, both of Lethbridge, are jointly charged with: two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking; three counts of possession of a controlled substance; possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000; careless storage of a firearm; unauthorized possession of restricted firearm; knowingly possess restricted weapon; possession of a loaded restricted firearm; possession of a firearm obtained by offence; possession of a firearm with an altered/defaced serial number; and causing a child to be drug endangered.
Both are remanded in custody awaiting Judicial Interim Release hearings. The names of the offenders are being withheld to protect the identity of the children.
