Blood Tribe Police lay assault charges in alleged coughing incident

Blood Tribe Police Service have charged a man, for assaulting two police officers after he was alleged to have intentionally coughed in their faces.

April 24, 2020 at 11pm a 50 year old Blood Tribe man was arrested for Mischief in the community of Moses Lake on the Blood Tribe. During processing, police say he claimed he had COVID-19 and then intentionally coughed in the faces of two police officers. EMS was called to assist and conducted an assessment on the man, who did not display any symptoms of COVID-19. He was charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer and was later released to appear in Cardston Provincial Court.
