Drugs and firearms seized in Fort Macleod

The Lethbridge region Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) seized $26,000 in illegal drugs and cash as well firearms at a home in Fort Macleod last Wednesday.

Methamphetamine, cocaine and what police suspect is carfentanil were seized from a suspected drug dealer in Fort Macleod. ALERT conducted the investigation in partnership with Fort Macleod RCMP.

Among the items seized under search warrant by police were 25 grams of suspected carfentanil, 56 grams of methamphetamine, 15 grams of cocaine and $14,175 in cash. Three rifles were also seized at the scene.

A 47-year-old woman was arrested as a result of this investigation, a woman whom ALERT suspects of drug trafficking in Fort Macleod and surrounding communities.

Nicole Colacci has been charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime and multiple firearms offences.
