MyVictory Church and MyCityCare are partnering with the Lethbridge community to celebrate the graduating class of 2020, with a community-wide drive-in graduation celebration.

The event will be held on June 18, 19 and 20 from 7:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. each night. Graduating students will be able to proudly walk across a large stage in their cap and gown or in formal wear, to celebrate their graduation. Directly behind the stage will be a massive LED screen, from Feature Productions with two complementing LED side screens.

As graduating students make their way across the stage, a live view of the student along with pictures they provide will be projected on the screens, while their name, the school they are graduating from, and their provided short quote will be read. Professional photographs of the graduating students will be taken as they cross the stage and digital copies will be provided to the student.

Family members in their vehicles will be able to share the event with their graduating student and will be able to listen to the audio on their vehicle radio, as remote transmitting via a site-specific FM transmitter will be available. After crossing the stage, the graduating class will make a celebratory walk through the rows of vehicles, and family members are encouraged to cheer loudly and honk their horns to celebrate their graduating student’s accomplishments.

Due to limitations on the number of vehicles able to attend, the Graduation Event will also be livestreamed online, so loved ones can share the moment. Site photos and video will be made available in a digital format for download after the event, so they have a lasting memory available to them. Families in vehicles are asked not to get out to grab photos or videos and to ensure social distancing is kept.

In addition to the graduating celebration, LA Chefs will also be putting on a graduation meal for families to take home and enjoy. With a variety of menu options, LA Chefs is offering two options for either four or six people.

Tickets are between $22 and $32 and can be found online at Eventbrite.ca/e/celebrate-grad-2020-tickets.
