Interfaith Food Bank Celebrating Canada Day with Barbecue in a Bag fundraiser.

Interfaith Food Bank would normally be celebrating Canada Day with a charity breakfast at Galt Gardens, however, due to Covid-19, a new Barbecue in a Bag fundraiser will allow the community to celebrate safely at home this year.

In partnership with Mikado Electric and Mocha Local, pre-packed barbecue meal kits are available for purchase, with all proceeds to benefit food bank programs and services.

The $40 bundle includes everything a family of four would need for a Canada Day cheeseburger meal (burgers, buns and all the fixings), sides, tableware and Canada Day decorations. All ingredients are locally sourced.

To order, community members should contact the food bank by calling 403-320-8779. On June 30, packs can be paid for and picked up at Interfaith Food Bank, 1103 3 Ave. N., between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Pre-order, limited quantities available.
