LETHBRIDGE HERALD – RAYMOND
The Town of Raymond has announce its first ever drive-in concert event will take place July 25 featuring Blake Shelton with Gwen Stefani and Trace Adkins.
The on-screen concert is exclusive to drive-in theatres in North America and Raymond will be the only location in Alberta hosting this one-of-a-kind show.
EncoreLive is the event production company that has created this series of concerts and fans will experience the Encore Drive-In Nights concert feature and additional Encore Drive-In Nights shows from the safety of their vehicles.
Alberta Health COVID-19 guidelines will be in effect in order to protect the health and well-being of all those in attendance, the town said in a news release. Staff will wear personal protective equipment and enforce at least six feet of space between cars. The series will also use contactless payment and ticketing systems and limit capacity in restrooms. Guidelines around concessions will be enforced to abide by Alberta Health rules and regulations
Unlike traditional concert tickets that are bought for individual admission, each ticket for the Raymond Drive-In Night will admit one passenger car, truck or SUV. Up to six family members or friends (as many as there are legal seatbelts) can enjoy the experience together for one low cost.
The Town of Raymond sees the unique opportunity as a way to provide activities for not only local residents, but also a means to help attract visitors from all over southern Alberta.
Using your vehicle’s own radio system and watching the show on a four-storey-tall screen means those in attendance will each have a great seat to take in this concert.
