Lethbridge police were called to Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday night, at approximately 11pm, on a report of a serious assault. Hospital staff reported to police that a male victim had been dropped off at Emergency with obvious serious injuries. The victim was listed in critical but stable condition and transferred to a Calgary hospital.
Subsequent investigation determined that the male victim was assaulted at a home along the 100 block of Mount Blakiston Road West, Lethbridge. Investigators are in the process of searching a home in the area and interviewing witnesses and others that may be involved in the assault. At this time, police believe the assault was targeted and there is no known risk to the public.
