LETHBRIDGE HERALD
Lethbridge College is helping students to prepare for what happens next, with two free student success courses to help prepare both new and returning students for the fall 2020 semester.
“We have heard our students loud and clear,” says Lindsay Workman, interim Associate Dean, Student Affairs, in a news release. “With this being an academic year unlike any other, they want resources to help them smoothly transition into their courses. We’ve developed courses that will give them key tools and skills to help them succeed in the year ahead.”
The first course, Get Ready: A refresher for new students, is designed for students who are entering post-secondary education for the first time. The course, which launched on Monday, offers a series of online self-paced modules designed to refresh skills in English, math or science.
The second course is for both new students and students returning to Lethbridge College this fall to continue their programs. Set for Success: Navigating learning at a distance will help students prepare for the online components of their classes, whether the online portion represents a small part of their courses, or if they are studying in a fully online program. Set for Success will launch in mid-August.
Lethbridge College students should check their Lethbridge College email address to access the courses.
The college is preparing for a fall semester offered in a flexible learning environment. Anyone wanting to learn more about program delivery this fall is encouraged to visit the college’s FAQ page at https://lethbridgecollege.ca/we-are-ready.
