Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the driver and locate a red Volkswagen Jetta that likely sustained front end damage in a hit and run collision where a male was run over.

On Aug. 12, 2020 police responded to Chinook Regional Hospital after a 37-year-old male was admitted with injuries sustained following a hit and run. Investigation determined the male and a female acquaintance were driving along 10 Street North at the intersection with 3 Avenue North when they were involved in an altercation with another vehicle. Both vehicles pulled over and the confrontation continued culminating with the male being run over in the street. The female drove the male to CRH and he was later transported to Calgary. He remains in hospital in serious but stable condition.

Investigators have determined the subject vehicle to be a 2000s model red, Volkswagen Jetta. A stock photo is included for release.
