Lethbridge Police have charged a 24-year-old man in connection with a hit and run.
On Aug. 12, 2020 police responded to Chinook Regional Hospital after a 37-year-old male was admitted with injuries sustained following a hit and run. Investigation determined the male and a female acquaintance were driving along 10 Street North at the intersection with 3 Avenue North when they were involved in an altercation with red Volkswagen Jetta. Both vehicles pulled over and the confrontation continued culminating with the male being run over in the street. The female drove the male to CRH and he was later transported to Calgary. He remains in hospital in serious but stable condition.
Following further investigation the red Jetta was located and the driver identified. Attempts to locate the driver have been unsuccessful and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Dylan Ivan Sokol, 24, of Lethbridge, is charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm, operating a motor vehicle while prohibited and causing an accident resulting in bodily harm.
