Police officer injured in training incident

A Lethbridge police officer has been injured in a training accident earlier this morning. The officer was taken to hospital and is now said to be recovering.
The Director of Law Enforcement has been notified of the incident and the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has been directed to investigate.
No other details were made available by the Lethbridge Police Service and further information on this incident is to be communicated by ASIRT.
