Additional COVID-19 cases at St. Mary and St. Catherine schools

The Holy Spirit Catholic School Division has been informed that there are two additional cases of COVID-19, one at Ecole St. Mary School in Lethbridge and the other at St. Catherine School in Picture Butte.
The Division says that for both schools all close contacts have been informed of the situation and are required to isolate while following the directives provided by Alberta Health Services.
As of Friday, the Division indicates it has 12 active cases across three school sites (Ecole St. Mary, St. Catherine, and Catholic Central High – all of which had been earlier listed under outbreak status) requiring the isolation of approximately 200 staff and students.
Students and families are reminded the Divisions schools are expected to be closed November 9, 10, and 11, 2020.
