Alberta COVID-19 update for Nov. 26

Alberta Health has reported Thursday 1,077 new cases of COVID-19 and 14,052 active cases. There are 383 people in hospital, 84 of those in ICU. Ten additional deaths have been reported for a total of 510 fatalities provincially.

South Zone shows 44 new cases and an active case count up to 664. In the zone there are 21 people in hospital, 6 of those in ICU. One additional death is showing in Medicine Hat, for a total of 40 fatalities in the zone. Lethbridge shows 10 new cases (195 active cases) 10 in TaberMD (108 active cases), 9 in Medicine Hat (102 active cases), 4 each in Cardston Co. and Forty Mile, 2 each in Lethbridge Co. and Brooks, 1 each in Pincher CreekMD, Newell and Cypress.

27,226 died in Alberta in the last year, a good portion of which were due to infectious causes. Some 510 people died with Covid according to the above. No data in how many had comorbidities but even in the unlikely case that all 510 were due to covid that is only 1.8% of the total deaths. And zero flu deaths or even cases this year? So what is this about. Not covid thats for sure. Government abuse.
