Lethbridge Police have charged two men in connection with a break-in that saw considerable damage done to a northside business.
Last Sunday, Honkers Pub and Eatery, 2808 5 Ave. N., was broken into when a small truck was driven through the front window. Two men exited the truck, stole an ATM inside the business and proceeded to drive away.
On Thursday, members of the Lethbridge Police Service Priority Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on a residence in the 2700 block of 7 Avenue North. As a result of that search warrant, evidence connecting two men to the Honkers break-in was located and seized.
Travis Robert Taylor, 30, of Lethbridge, is charged with break and enter, breach of undertaking and mischief to property. He was arrested when police executed the search warrant and is being held in custody while awaiting a Judicial Interim Release hearing.
Travis Roy Priest, 31, of Lethbridge, is charged with break and enter and possession of a controlled substance. At the time of the news release by LPS Priest’s whereabouts were unknown and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Travis Priest and his late father also caused $300,000 damage to a City electrical substation earlier this year… not only is he a useless criminal, he must be a moron to steal an ATM that has GPS attached to it… and I’m guessing an ATM in a pub was near empty after a Friday and Saturday night 😂
