Paid parking will again be required starting today in downtown Lethbridge.
To prepare residents for the return of regular parking operations, enforcement officers have been placing notices on windshields starting for the past week, reminding customers to pay for parking starting again on Jan. 18.
As part of a holiday promotion, paid parking in the downtown had been temporarily suspended from Dec. 14, with a holiday message of: “No payment required. Joyous wishes from the City of Lethbridge.”
Two downtown monthly parking incentives have been extended to March 31, including a 50 per cent reduction on the monthly Zone 10 parking permit price from $72 to $36 and a 50 per cent reduction on the monthly parking permit at the Lethbridge Park ‘n’ Ride Transit Terminal from $105 to $52.50.
The City is encouraging customers to download the Way to Park app for contactless payment options and if this is not possible, customers should take proper precautions to clean/sanitize hands thoroughly after using parking kiosks.
