Granum-The Lethbridge Police have two people in custody in relation to a police standoff in Granum Tuesday evening.
RCMP had attended a residence in the community just after 2:15 p.m. to assist the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) with the execution of an arrest warrant.
The wanted male was believed to be barricaded in the residence and possibly armed.
The RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT) was called in to assist, with LPS and The Blood Tribe Police service members also on the scene.
An adult female eventually exited the residence and was arrested at the scene and later released.
The Emergency Response Team eventually entered the residence taking two adult males into custody later that evening.
The male who was the subject of the arrest warrant was one of the males arrested. The other male was also found to have an outstanding warrant at the time of his arrest.
The Lethbridge Police Service confirmed it had issued an arrest warrant in relation to a Priority Crimes Unit, in cooperation with the Blood Tribe Police and RCMP, investigation into individuals involved with multiple motor vehicle thefts and break-and-enters in southern Alberta.
The LPS said the investigation was still ongoing as of press time on Wednesday, and charges were pending.
